PAINTERS LICK – The body of a Magoffin County man was found near his home on Thursday after being missing since Monday.

Kendall Lee Wireman, 28, of Falcon Road, in Salyersville, had not been seen since Monday, January 22 around 7 p.m. According to law enforcement, he and his girlfriend had been walking up Painters Lick when they had an argument, and the two walked in different directions, with Wireman going into the hills, walking toward his home.

On Thursday, January 26, Wireman’s mother reported him missing to the Magoffin County Sheriff Department, then after returning home, looked on the hill behind the house and found his body.

The death investigation is being performed by the Magoffin County Sheriff Department and the Magoffin County Coroner.

Funeral arrangements, under the direction of the Salyersville Funeral Home, are incomplete at this time and will be announced at a later date.
