Candidates file for office

SALYERSVILLE - As the county gears up for the General Election in the fall, some local candidates have filed in the nonpartisan races, along with one write-in candidate in the sheriff’s race.
Soil and Conservation, two school board districts, Salyersville city council and mayor races will all be on the ballot on November 6, in addition to all the county positions that were included in the Primary Election.
As of July 17, the following have filed in the nonpartisan races:
