On Wednesday, April 12, the East Kentucky Expo Center was home to a large collection of educators and students, who in cooperation with Ketucky Valley Educational Cooperative (KVEC) have worked over the course of the school year on innovative and cutting edge student projects.
On display, along with over 150 interactive presentations and displays, were student created robots, technologies, student-built tiny-house, student art and multiple student performances throughout the summit.
Several of Magoffin County's own students and educators had the opportunity to actively participate in this years Fire Summit, including performances by the MCHS/HWMS Band, a presentation from MCHS Student Senate members, two students who were selected to have their writings published, presentations from teachers who received ARI grant's to support their classrooms, along with their students, and teachers who served on fellowships over the course of the school year.
