Grand jury indictments released

SALYERSVILLE - A Magoffin County Grand Jury released the following indictments on Thursday, June 19:

Bobby Brewer, of Quicksand Road, Jackson, Kentucky, was charged with one count of criminal possession of a forged instrument, first offense (a Class C felony). According to the indictment, on or about March 24, 2014, Brewer allegedly possessed a forged check, with the knowledge that it was forged and with the intent to defraud, deceive, or injure another, namely, Classic Donuts. 

Martin Scott Combs, of HC 61, Salyersville, was charged with one count of theft by unlawful taking over $500 (a Class D felony). According to the indictment, on or about February 26, 2014, Combs allegedly took or exercised control over movable property of another, namely Helen Combs and Minnie Johnson, with the intent to benefit himself or another not entitled thereto. 

Michael Shane Patrick, of Left Fork Sugar Camp Road, Salyersville, was charged with one count of theft by unlawful taking over $500 (a Class D felony). According to the indictment, on or about February 26, 2014, Patrick allegedly exercised control over movable property of another, namely Helen Combs and Minnie Johnson, with the intent to benefit himself or another not entitled thereto. 

Mark Minix, of Allen Drive, Salyersville, was charged with first degree sodomy, victim under 12 years of age (a Class A felony). According to the indictment, on or about February 14, 2014, Minix allegedly engaged in "deviate sexual intercourse" with a person less than 12 years of age.
