We currently have a free Kentucky Hunter Education & Bow Hunter Education course (orange card) scheduled in Magoffin County located at Magoffin County Extension Office, on October 11th and 12th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Saturday, October 13th from 9:00 am until completion.
The course, sponsored by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources and Magoffin County Extension Office, includes classroom instruction in hunter ethics, wildlife identification, outdoor survival, first aid, firearm safety, bow hunting and ammunition. The last session includes live fire and a written examination. Guns, ammo, eye and hearing protection provided by Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources.
Attendance at all three sessions is required. Pre- registration is required for all courses and is completed by visiting the Hunter Education page at fw.ky.gov Limited spaces are available. Children must be 9 years old in order to complete the course.
