PAINTSVILLE - Magoffin County senior quarterback/defensive back Dalton Keeton has been named the Big Sandy Sportsline Player of the Week for his performance in the Hornets’ 57-49 win in double overtime over Class 3A, District 7 rival Breathitt County in Jackson on Thursday, Oct. 2.
Keaton amassed 610 all-purpose yards in the Hornets’ win over defending district champion Breathitt County. The senior also had a hand in on all eight Magoffin County touchdowns, throwing for four, rushing for three and returning a kick for one.
Defensively in the victory over Breathitt County, Keeton contributed three tackles, two of which were solo stops.
Keeton will receive a plaque for being named the Big Sandy Sportsline Player of the Week.
