KHSAA Competitive Cheer Championships set for Saturday at Alltech Arena

LEXINGTON - The second annual KHSAA Competitive Cheer Championships will take place on Saturday at Alltech Arena in Lexington. Doors will open to the fans at 9 a.m., with the competition beginning at 10 a.m. with the All-Girls’ Small and All-Girls’ Medium divisions. The All-Girls’ Large and All-Girls’ Super-Large Divisions will begin at 2 p.m., with the day’s events concluding with the Coed Division at 6 p.m. 

Magoffin County (Medium division), Pikeville (Small division), Belfry (Large division) and Shelby Valley (Super division) cheer squads will represent the 15th Region in the state event. The second annual KHSAA Competitive Cheer Championships will feature multiple squads from each of the state's 16 regions. 

An awards presentation will immediately follow each competition block.

STATE BOUND:  The Magoffin County High School varsity cheerleading squad is set to vie for a state title. Recently-crowned 15th Region Champions Magoffin County will compete in the second annual KHSAA Competitive Cheer Championships on Saturday at Alltech Arena in Lexington. Magoffin County is scheduled to compete at 12:35 p.m. ET.
