Kyla Paige Hale is Miss Magoffin

SALYERSVILLE - The Miss Magoffin County Pageant was held Friday night, Sept. 2, 2016 on the outdoor stage of Pioneer Village in downtown Salyersville and was hosted by our own Jimmy Caldwell, WKYT weatherman. 
Kyla Paige Hale, an 18 year old student at Big Sandy Community and Technical College was crowned Miss Magoffin 2016/207 in the pageant which had the theme “Two-Step to the Crown”.  
Four lovely young ladies competed for the title in Interview, Swimsuit, Talent and Evening Gown categories.  Kyla was also awarded the Talent Award for her lyrical dance performance to “Burning House”.  First runner up went to Jenna Elam who also received the Swimsuit and People’s Choice Award. Whitney Jenkins received the Miss Congeniality nod and Sarah Auxier received the Jenny Lou Caldwell Sunshine Award. 
Kyla will advance to the Miss Kentucky Scholarship Pageant, in Lexington in July 2017.  She is the daughter of Chrisy Howard and Paul Hale of Salyersville.
