We would like to take this opportunity to say Thank you Magoffin County for all the support that waws given by everyone to make the 2009 relay a success. We know your time is valuable and we are so grateful you took time from your busy schedule to support this worthy cause.
I hope you are considering what relay means for so many people and become more involved with the 2010 event; which is very dear to our hearts. This year alon Magoffin County lost way too many people to this horrible disease called cancer.
Your participation in this event no matter how large or small will be part of a legacy. The actions
you took to help raise funds and awareness in our community inspores hope that transcends any threat that cancer poses. Thanks to the efforts of volunteers and sponsors over the course of more than two decades, we have saved countless lives, reduced suffering for those battling cancer, and provided support, hope and healing for families around the world.
At our 2009 relay we celebrated with “HOPE”. You shared your passion for relay for life by becoming a sponsor, a team, a volunteer, a committee member or by giving of your time or money.
On our tack June 26, 2009 we “Celebrated” with those people who have battled cancer; we “Remembered” those loved ones who lost the battle and we “Fought” back to end a disease that has taken too much from us already. We do this together by taking one step at a time. And every step we took brought us closer together as a community and closer to the day when no one has to hear the words, “You have cancer”.
