SALYERSVILLE - As the county gears up for the General Election in the fall, some local candidates have filed in the nonpartisan races, along with several write-in candidates.
Soil and Conservation, three school board districts, Salyersville city council and mayor races will all be on the ballot on November 6, in addition to all the county positions that were included in the Primary Election.
The drawing for positions on the ballot for the city council, mayor, school board and soil and conservation races will be held on August 16 at 2 p.m. at the Magoffin County Fiscal Courtroom.
As of August 1, the following have filed in the nonpartisan races or as write-in candidates:

The deadline to file for office is 4 p.m. Tuesday, August 14.
