SALYERSVILLE – The Magoffin County Public Library Board met in regular session on Tuesday, October 10, discussing the progress on the ongoing building project.

John Leap with Codell Construction told the board on Tuesday that the project is roughly 30 days behind due to a later-than-anticipated start and some bad weather, but he believes they will be able to make up that time and still have the new library ready by August 2018.

The goal is to have everything under the roof by the end of the year so crews will be able to work through the winter.

Much of the foundational work is completed and he said they will start putting up concrete walls next week.

The library board did agree to change their regular monthly meeting time to the second Wednesday of every month at 12 p.m. at the Magoffin County Public Library.
