Sheriff Bob Jordan received a call that every police officer dreads, one that involves seriously injured family members.
 A head on collision occurring on Oakley Creek Rd, May 11th, sent six people to the hospital for various injuries. Sheriff Jordan’s stepfather, Lee Ramsey, Robin Jordan, brother to Sheriff Jordan, and Earsil James Howard occupied the first vehicle involved in the crash. Driver, Tamara Howard, her mother Jeanette Minix, and a small child occupied the second vehicle. The six individuals involved were transported by D.H.P Ambulance Service to Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center where they were treated for injuries such as broken arms, head injuries and other broken bones Although it is known that the two vehicles collided head on, it has not yet been determined which driver is at fault or why this accident occurred. Details surrounding the accident are still under investigation and blood tests are still pending. There have been no arrests and no charges brought upon either party as of late.
