SALYERSVILLE – A Magoffin County woman was arrested after police responded to a collision at the county garage.
According to police reports, Laci J. Pennington, 35, of Salyersville, was the driver in a single-vehicle accident that occurred on KY Rt. 30 at the county garage on Thursday, June 14. Some property damage was reported.
Pennington allegedly appeared to be under the influence and was unable to pass a field sobriety test. She complied with law enforcement for a blood test at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center, where she was medically cleared for jail. She was transported to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, where she remains at press time.
She is currently facing the following charges: operating a motor vehicle under the influence (aggravating circumstance), second offense; operating on a suspended license; failure of owner to maintain insurance; expired registration plates; and expired registration receipt.
According to the citation, Pennington’s license was suspended due to having a 2017 DUI case.
