Wreck on Salyer Branch Hill sends two to the hospital

MASON – Two were taken to the hospital on Monday after a two-vehicle accident on Salyer Branch Hill of KY Route 7.

According to Magoffin County Sheriff Department Deputy Jonathan Holbrook, who worked the accident, on Monday, April 17 a white truck, driven by Kenny McKenzie, lost traction, coming across the center line and striking a gray truck, driven by Salyersville City Councilman Jeff Bailey. 

Wet roads were determined to be the cause of the accident.

Both drivers were transported to the hospital by Trans-Star for non-life threatening injuries. 

In addition to the Magoffin County Sheriff Department, Magoffin County Rescue Squad, Trans-Star Ambulance Services and Salyersville Fire Department worked the accident.
