Barbara Jean Howard Lemaster age 64 of Oil Springs, Kentucky passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky. She was born September 5, 1953 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Hassel and Lulie Howard. She was the wife of James Ed Lemaster, who survives.
Survivors also include one son, James Craig Lemaster of Oil Springs, Kentucky, one daughter, Tracy Lynn (Billy) Blanton of Oil Springs, Kentucky, five brothers, Oscar Howard of Nevada, Ohio, Hollie Howard of Marion, Ohio, Hassel Ed Howard and Hager Howard both of Salyersville, Kentucky, and Russell Howard of Delaware, Ohio, and three sisters, Letha Wilson and Mahalie Moore both of Marion, Ohio, and Bonnie Hall of Delaware, Ohio. Four grandchildren, Breanna (Steven) Lutes, Denny (Tiffany) Blanton, Olivia Gracetine Lemaster, and Billy Blanton, and seven great grandchildren, Adalynn Hunt, Taytum Hunt, Journee Jenkins, Ellie Lutes, Tinlee Blanton, Gabriella Blanton, and Harrison Blanton also survive.
Barbara was a devoted member of the New Generation Worship Center and the director of the Bread of Life Outreach Food Pantry in Oil Springs, Kentucky.
In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by one brother, Jessie Howard, and two sisters, Reva Sanson and Risby Howard.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 am Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Tackett and Timothy Tackett officiating. Burial followed in the Williams & Blanton Cemetery at Oil Springs, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
