Barbara Lou Jackson Salyer

Barbara Lou Jackson Salyer age 78 of Royalton, Kentucky wife of the late Garland David Salyer passed away Friday, October 20, 2017 at the Salyersville Health Care Center in Salyersville, Kentucky. Born April 16, 1939 she was a daughter of the late Prock Jackson and Mollie Howard Patrick. She was a former bus driver for the Magoffin County School system and a member of the Royalton United Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children: David Dwayne (Cheryl) Salyer of Royalton, Marcella (Bill) McCarty of Salyersville, Connie (Ellery) Arnett of Salyersville, and Gina Salyer of Royalton. Other survivors include son-in-law, Terry Brown, two brothers: Billy Joe (Barbara) Rowe and Colin Ray (Judy) Jackson both of Salyersville, and her dear friend Carolyn Rudd, along with 11 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
Aside from her husband and parents Barbara Lou is preceded in death by children Gary Joe Salyer and Garletta Salyer Brown, son-in-law Adam "Slim" Jordan, and one grandchild Jodi Beth Blanton. 
Funeral services for Barbara Lou Salyer were held at 1:00 PM Monday October 23, 2017 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Greg Minix, Glen Slone, and William Paul Perkins officiating. Burial followed in the Jackson Cemetery at Booger Hill.  
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
