Betty Arnett Davis, age 78, a resident of Dixie Avenue in Salyersville, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at her home after a lengthy illness.
Betty was born April 15, 1939 in Alvada, Ohio, the daughter of Graydon and Virgie Howard Arnett. Also preceding her in death is son, Anthony Shane Preston, sisters, Roberta Watson, Madge Craft, Fannie Gerth, Virginia Adkinson, Beverly Pelfrey, and brothers, Edward Paul Arnett, Howard Graydon Arnett.
Betty attended college and was employed as a Respiratory Therapist until her retirement. She was also a member of Greenpeace and Audubon Society.
Those left to mourn includes sons, Thomas Preston of Salyersville, Kentucky, Russell Preston of Salyersville, Kentucky, daughters, Elizabeth Looney and husband James of Longview, Washington, Haidee Wimmer and husband Gerhard of Habach, Germany, brother, William Arnett of London, Kentucky, grandchildren, Morgan Thomas Preston, Carolyn Preston, Adam Looney, Megan Looney Phillips, great grandchildren, Latham Phillips, Layne Phillips, Evan Nash Preston and a host of family and friends who love and miss her.
A memorial service for Betty Arnett Davis will be connected Sunday, December 10, 2017 at 3:00 PM from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home. The family will welcome friends Sunday, December 10 after 1:00 PM here from the funeral home. A dinner in honor of Betty Davis will follow in the Renaissance Center in Salyersvillle, Kentucky.
