Elva Deen Minix age 71 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the Paul B Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. She was born May 9, 1945 in Oakley, Kentucky to the late Jasper and Myrtle Salyer Minix. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Minix.
Survivors also include one son, Vince (Jennifer) Minix of Salyersville, Kentucky, three daughters, Rhonda (Carl J.) Howard and Katie Howard both of Salyersville, Kentucky, and Peggy (Robbie) Trimble of West Liberty, Kentucky, one sister, Monnie Barnett of Salyersville, Kentucky, and eleven grandchildren.
Elva Deen was a member of the Licking River Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Elva Deen is preceded in death by one son-in-law, Brian Douglas Howard, four brothers, Armel Minix, Harold Minix, Don Minix, and Sonny Minix, and three sisters, Molly Montgomery, Betty Sublett, and Ann Williams.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 am Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Greg Minix and Richard Greene officiating. Burial followed in the Minix Family Cemetery at Oakley, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
