Hattie Mae Thompson, age 73, a resident of Rensselaer, Indiana; formally of Salyersville; passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Indiana University Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana after a lengthy illness.
Hattie was born January 3, 1944, in Tip Top, Kentucky, the daughter of Kelly and Florence McIntosh Thompson. Also preceding her in death is sister, Violet Thompson, and brother, Delord Thompson.
Hattie served her country in the United States Air Force and is a veteran of the Vietnam War until she was honorably discharged.
Hattie was employed as a quality control specialist for Sealy Spring Corporation until her retirement.
Those left to mourn include brother, Charles Thompson of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, Elizabeth Manns of Means, Kentucky, a host of family and friends who love and miss her.
Funeral services for Hattie Mae Thompson were conducted on Saturday, October 7, at 1:00 PM from the Salyersville Funeral Home in Salyersville, Kentucky. Clergy Lee Gadd delivered comforting words on the day of services. Burial followed in the Thompson Family Cemetery on Pine Ridge in Tip Top, Kentucky. Condolences can be made at
