Jimmy Randall "Chico" Salyer

Jimmy Randall "Chico" Salyer age 77 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 at the Melech Hospice House in Temple Terrace, Florida. He was born August 24, 1939 in Sublett, Kentucky to the late Samuel and Juanita Arnett Salyer. He was the husband of Bertie Kaye Oldham Salyer, who survives.
Survivors also include two sons, John Randall (Jill) Salyer of West Liberty, Kentucky and Jimmy Wendell Salyer of Salyersville, Kentucky, one daughter, Laura Jane (Sean) Howard of Lexington, Kentucky, five grandchildren, Whitney (Brandon) Wilson, Karrington Salyer, Samuel Salyer, Kayleigh Howard, and Christian Howard, and two great grandchildren, Connor Wilson and Clay Wilson.
Jimmy was a member of the Licking River Baptist Church, and South Magoffin Community Activists. He loved being outdoors and was an avid fisherman. 
In addition to his parents, Jimmy is preceded in death by one great grandchild, Merci Wilson.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 11, 2017, at the Licking River Baptist Church with Richard Greene officiating. Burial followed in the Bruce Arnett Cemetery at Sublett, Kentucky. 
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Magoffin County Christians Care Fund, the Licking River Baptist Church, or the Alzheimer's Research Foundation.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
