Lou Ann Gibson Reed

Lou Ann Gibson Reed age 89 went to be with the Lord on March 21, 2018. She was born in Salyersville, Kentucky on November 6, 1928 to the late Richmond and Martha Caldwell Gibson. She married Roy Reed in 1946. She was a devoted Christian that belonged to Bethlehem to Calvary Church. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to her family. She and Roy had six children during their 52 years of marriage; Ransom (Wanda) Reed of Salyersville, Kentucky, Anzel (Mavis) Reed of Dayton, Ohio, Dathal Helton of Salyersville, Kentucky, Ervin and Vervin Reed of Salyersville, Kentucky, and Martha (Charlie) Murphy of Salyersville, Kentucky. 
She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Reed, son, Vervin Reed, granddaughters, Karen Helton and Samantha Freels, grandson Donnie Keeton, and brother, Harold Gibson. 
Her love and devotion to her grandchildren was endless to whom she leaves behind; Debbie (Lee) Elliot, Jeffrey Bailey, Robin (Buck) Lemaster, Jennie (David) Boatman, Cindy Keeton, Randi (Grant) Bailey, Brad Freels and Luke Freels. Along with her great grandchildren; Bryan Willis, Kaylee Helton, Derrick Varney, Whitney and Ethan Crabtree, Bradley, Anthony Freels, Madison Sheppard, Alexa Bailey, Jackson and Jacey Lemaster, Abby Keeton, Skylar, Hunter, Caleb Endicott, Melanie Smith, Rylan, Rynnli Bailey, along with many great, great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Lahoma Curry.
A special heartfelt thank you goes out to her wonderful caretakers, Martha, Charlie, Skyler, Bryan and Ervin.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 pm Saturday, March 24, 2018 from the Bethlehem to Calvary Apostolic Church with Johnny Reed officiating. Burial followed in the Williams and Reed Cemetery at Salyersville, Kentucky. 
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
