Norman Miller, age 92, of West Van Lear, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017 at VA Medical Center, Lexington, Kentucky.
Norman was born May 26, 1924 in Floyd County, Kentucky, son of the late Ted and Rebecca Wireman Miller. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.
He is survived by his wife Gwen McKenzie Miller; three daughters, Juanita Carol Smith and husband Mitch of Garrard County, Kentucky, Remona Melette Lafferty Hunter and husband Brian of Lexington, Kentucky; and Alanna Normay Miller Agard and husband Hollinesworth also of Lexington, Kentucky; two sister, Beverly Douglas Hackworth of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, Ida Belle Meadows of Ypsilanti, Michigan; one brother Wilson Miller of Fort Myers, Florida; eight grandchildren, Zachery Brian Zane Hunter, Amaya Normay Catherine Agard, Matthew Alexander Smith, Amaure Zion Miller Agard, Forestella Rae Hunter, Xavier Hollinesworth Agard, Andrew Mitchell Smith, and Azaryah Jonathan Agard.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday 12, 2017 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Steve Rose officiating. Burial followed in the Highland Memorial Park, at Staffordsville, Kentucky. Masonic services were conducted 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
