Magoffin County’s second oldest fast food restaurant is currently undergoing a face lift, but owners of Dairy Queen of Salyersville are putting out a business as usual statement.
"We’re still open and we’re going to stay that way," one of the restaurant’s owners, Mike Prater said. "We want people to know that we will be serving customers in our drive thru and in our dining room."
Dairy Queen, which opened here in 1987, will have a different look when work is completed in late summer, but will continue to serve the same food and deserts.
"We are giving the place a new look, and make some improvements," Prater said. "We just wanted to let the public know that we are still open for business."
