Salyersville National Bank recently marked its 30th anniversary as a member of the National Federation of Independent Business, Kentucky’s leading small business association.
“NFIB/Kentucky is the voice of small business,” said Tom Underwood, the association’s state director. “It’s important for small business owners to get involved and speak out on issues that affect them,” he said.
“Without members like Salyersville National Bank, NFIB’s voice can’t be heard,” he said.
NFIB/Kentucky’s issues include improving access to affordable health insurance for small business owners and their employees.
It has fought for legislation requiring state agencies to estimate the costs of proposed rules and regulations and opposes tax increases that would make it harder for small businesses to expand and create jobs.
“Salyersville National Bank is a great example of the entrepreneurial spirit that makes small business the heart and soul of Kentucky’s economy,” Underwood said.
“We need members like Salyersville National Bank, who will support the National Federation of Independent Business with its mission to promote and protect the right of our members in Kentucky to own, operate and grow their businesses.”
