Lavenna Maureen Williams, 87, a resident of 800 Laura Drive, Marion, OH passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 7:08 PM in the Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, OH.
She was born on August 28, 1922 in Salyersville, KY, the daughter of the late Deed and Blanche (Conley) Hall. On February 17, 1941 in Salyersville, KY, she married Edgar Ray Williams. He preceded her in death on February 20, 2005 in Marion, OH. The lifelong homemaker was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church on Crissinger Rd and a 63 year resident of Marion, OH, moving here from Salyersville.
Lavenna is survived by a son; Don (Carrie) Williams of Marion, OH; four daughters, Maureen (Roger) Gibson of Prospect, OH, Jeri (Robert) Simon of Morral, OH, Charlene (Glen) Baltzer of Grove City, OH and Patricia (Jerry) Hill of Marion, OH; a brother, Aaron C. Pennington of Marion; a sister, Greta Stone of Marion, OH sixteen grandchildren, thirty-two geat grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Lavenna was preceded in death by a son, Dale Williams; a daughter, Carol Caudill; three brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services were conducted September 8, 2009 at the First Freewill Baptist Church on Crissinger Roadwith Rev. Paul Staton officiating. Burial followed in the Marion Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Lavenna’s name to the First Freewill Baptist Church. The Boyd-Born Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
