SALYERSVILLE - Magoffin County senior Jamie Castle has been selected to play in the 23rd Annual Ohio-Kentucky All-Star Basketball Game at Thomas More College in Crestview Hills. Tip-off for this year's Ohio-Kentucky girls' game is set for 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 12.

Annually, Ohio and Kentucky all-star boys' and girls' basketball teams meet at the Northern Kentucky college. In the girls' all-star game series, Kentucky holds a 13-8 lead.

Over the weekend, Castle scored a team-high 14 points to help lead East over West in the KABC East-West Game. As part of a busy weekend, Castle will attend tryouts for the Kentucky All-Star team during the same weekend she competes in the 23rd Annual Ohio-Kentucky All-Star Basketball Game. She will attend tryouts for the Kentucky All-Star team on Sunday, April 13 at Georgetown College.

The KABC will coordinate the upcoming Kentucky All-Star tryouts and choose players for this summer's Kentucky-Indiana All-Star games.

In January, the Bluegrass Sports Commission and the Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation announced a three-year contract for Kentucky's games in the all-star classics to be played in Lexington.

This year’s Kentucky-Indiana games will be held at Transylvania University in the Beck Center on June 13.

Complete Kentucky rosters for the Ohio-Kentucky all-star basketball games were not available at press time.
