Dovie Lou Maggard Butcher

Dovie Lou Maggard Butcher age 92 of Falcon Road, Salyersville, passed away on Sunday morning March 11, 2018 at her home.  She was born July 7, 1925 in Pike County, Kentucky to the late Saul and Mary Elizabeth Belcher Maggard. She was the wife of Drexel Butcher, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Ricky Butcher of Salyersville, Kentucky, two daughters, Kathy Whitaker of Salyersville, Kentucky, and Scottie Lynn Vance of Paintsville, Kentucky, one sister, Phyllis Patrick of Georgetown, Kentucky, eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
Dovie was a devoted member of the First Community Baptist Church. 
In addition to her husband and parents, Dovie is preceded in death by three 
brothers, Curtis Maggard, Haskel Maggard, and Everett Maggard, and five sisters, Imal Clark, Virgie Waugh, Callie Cecil, Dwale Maggard, and Effie Davis. 
Funeral services were conducted at 2 pm Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Lindsey Meade and Wayne Meade, Jr. officiating. Burial followed in the Elzie & Gracie Conley Cemetery at Falcon, Kentucky. 
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
