Aiden Wayne Fletcher, infant son of Rhonda Fletcher of Indiana, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at the Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, Indiana.  
In addition to his mother, survivors include his maternal grandparents, Michael and Mary Koontz, maternal great grandmother, Mary Jane Pinks, one aunt, Christy Fletcher, three uncles, Mitchell Fletcher, Scottie Fletcher, and Brandon Fletcher.
Aiden is preceded in death by his great grandparents, McKinley and Ruby Fletcher.

Elmer McCarty, age 79, a resident of Allen Drive in Salyersville, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, August 19, 201 at his home. 
Elmer was born March 16, 1939 in Salyersville, Kentucky the son of the late Loy and Ada Stephens McCarty. Brothers, Alton McCarty, Ray Carty, and sister, Clara Mae Keeton also preceded him in death. 
Elmer was employed as a Union Carpenter until his retirement. He enjoyed the outdoors and horseback riding.

Denise Bailey McCarty age 51 of Stinson Road, Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Monday, August 13, 2018 at her home. She was born February 1, 1967 in Indiana to Henry and Wanda Mullins Bailey, who survive.  She was the wife of Danny McCarty, who also survives.

James A. "Boot" Cole, also known as "Big Mack" by his trucker friends, age 82 of  Fox Run Road, Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018 at the Saint Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia. He was born October 25, 1935 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Luke and Jessie Gipson Cole. He was the husband of Christine Allen Cole, who survives.

Jerry D. Patrick age 58 of Painters Lick Road, Falcon, Kentucky passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky.  He was born December 20, 1959 in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late Clinton and Polly Moore Patrick. He was the husband of Linda Kay Johnson Patrick, who preceded him in death.
Survivors include three daughters, Tammy Ward of Paintsville, Kentucky, Pam Hall of Tennessee, and Sharon Salyers of Salyersville, Kentucky, and six grandchildren.

Udell Risner age 58 of Front Street, Birch Branch Road, Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018 at his home. He was born September 17, 1959 in Puncheon, Kentucky to the late Luther Risner and Imogene Collins Caldwell.

Danny Dean Runyon, age 65, a resident of Gin Fork in Varney, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2018 at his home.
Danny was born August 26, 1952 in Varney, Kentucky the son of the late Oricon and Ethel Lowe Runyon. Brother, Orville Ray Runyon also preceded in death.
Danny was employed as a coal miner until his retirement. He was an avid gamesman and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Those left to mourn includes son, Kevin Runyon of John Creek, Kentucky, brother, Avory Runyon of Varney, Kentucky, a host of family and friends who love and miss him.

Hilda Gay "Mim" Stacy Isaac age 88 of New Paintsville Road, Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at the Terrace Nursing and Rehab Facility in Berea, Kentucky. She was born April 27, 1930 in White Oak, Kentucky to the late Lester and Cassie Coffey Stacy.  She was the wife of Bazel Isaac, who preceded her in death.

Emma Jean Penix-Puckett, age 91 of Marion, Ohio, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Marion General Hospital.
Emma was born on October 26, 1926 in Portsmouth, Ohio, the daughter of Albert Landon and Nora Alice (Hensley) Williams. The family moved to Salyersville, KY where Emma graduated from high school.
On May 22, 1943 she was united in marriage to John Marvin Penix, they shared 42 years of marriage until he preceded her in death on May 3, 1985. Emma later married Miles Puckett who also preceded her in death on June 9, 1999.

Violet Farris, age 80, a resident of Down and Around Road in Salyersville, Kentucky, passed away Friday, August 3, 2018 at Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. Violet was born October 2, 1937 in Rochester, Indiana the daughter of the late Cecil and Hazel Wilhelm Clingler. Husband, Eugene Farris, sister, Anna Bell Coughenour, Daughters, Caroline Farris, Pam Miller, brothers, Irvin Clingler, Melvin Clingler, Virgil Clingler, and John Clingler preceded her in death. Violet was a homemaker and devoted member to her family and friends.
