Carol Sue Stephens Torres, age 55, a resident of Johnson Fork Road in Salyersville, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at her home.  
Carol was born July 21,1962 in Salyersville, Kentucky the daughter of Chalmer and Maxine Stephens-Stephens.  Brother, Chalmer Stephens Jr. preceded her in death.  
Carol was a homemaker and devoted member to her family and friends.

Wanda Lee Bailey, age 64, of Charles Bailey Road in Salyersville, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, Kentucky.
Wanda was born May 3, 1953 in Salyersville, Kentucky the daughter of the late Benny and Pearlie Bailey. Son, Frankie Lee Bailey, sister Eva Lee Moore, and brother, Bill Bailey preceded her in death.
Wanda was a homemaker and valuable member to her family and friends. She was also very active with her church, Salyersville Pentecostal Church of Christ in Salyersville, Kentucky.

Leatha Penix Elkins 87, Warren, MI, died April 11, 2018, in St John’s Macomb Hospital.
She was born on August 28, 1930 in Royalton, Kentucky to the late Tilden & Doscie (Salyers) Penix.
Leatha retired from Baxter International, Inc. in Round Lake, IL.
She enjoyed crafts, gardening, spending time with family, vacations, making others laugh & teaching Sunday School. Leatha was known for her compassion for others, her giving spirit, her faith and her sense of humor.

Johnny Lee Prater, 36, of Georgetown, KY passed away March 26, 2018.  A celebration of life reception will be held at Burning Fork Community Church April 7, 2018 at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to a memorial account for his 3 boys has been set up at Community Trust Bank under Sasha Prater.

A great man, an even greater husband, father, son, and brother, gone too soon. The impact he had on so many lives, in such a short time, is a true testament to just how amazing he was. His personality and his smile brought happiness and joy to even the saddest of people.

Roy Williams Jr., age 58, a resident of Puncheon Creek in Royalton, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky.

Roy was born December 23, 1959 in Jackson, Michigan to the late Roy Williams and Gladys McClure.  He is also preceded in death by one brother, Walter Williams and one sister Regina Patterson.

Wanda "Dolly" Kay Lemaster Bailey, age 83, of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, passed away on March 31, 2018 after a long illness.  She was born on March 9, 1935 in Wheelersburg, Ohio.  She was a member of Bradley Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mack Lemaster and Trixie Adams Lemaster, brothers, Mack Henry Lemaster, Rex Lemaster, Jeff (Barbara) Lemaster, Neal Lemaster, Lyman (Delores) Lemaster, Buddy (Geraldine) Lemaster, and Wendell (Erna) Lemaster, and her sisters, Peggy (John) Olrech, Karma (Gene) Witherspoon, Lita (Kenny) Wade and Theda (Doc) Johnson.

Opal Harris
Warfield, age 83, a resident of Flat Fork Road in Salyersville, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

Opal was born March 30, 1934 in Tennessee. Son, Robert Jones, and brother, Lee Harris, preceded her in death.

Opal was a member of the Boyd Risner Memorial Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and church family.

Those left to mourn includes a host of family and friends who love and miss her.

Roger Rowe age 58 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at the Saint Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia. He was born December 7, 1959 in Royalton, Kentucky to the late Alvin and Mae Puckett Poe. 

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 pm Friday, March 30, 2018 from the Family Cemetery at Jellico, Kentucky.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.

Beatrice "Do-Cat" Howard Patrick age 77 of Lick Creek Road, Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018 in Kanawha County, West Virginia. She was born January 19, 1941 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Otis and Peachie Helton Howard. She was the wife of Johnnie Daniel Patrick, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents, Beatrice is preceded in death by one sister, Mildred "Mitch" Howard Williams, one nephew, Richard Williams, and her stepdad, Goble Howard.
