Ruby Conley, age 79 passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017. She was born June 21, 1937 to the late William and Bertha Messer Johnson. Ruby was a teacher’s aide with the Paintsville Elementary School and a member of the Sitka Freewill Baptist Church. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband Harold Conley. She is survived by one son, Harold Dean Conley of Hager Hill, four daughters, Teresa Lynn Music of Hager Hill, Susie Bass of Staffordsville, Sheila Workman of Thomaston, GA, and Debra Cantrell of Hager Hill. Several grandchildren also survive.
Edward Lee Watkins, age 73 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 at the Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. He was born August 12, 1943 in Willard, Ohio to the late Millard and Vadie Cole Watkins. He was the husband of Jeanetta Saylor Watkins, who survives.
Robert (Bob) Francis Prater, 64, died Saturday, February 25, 2017. He was born on May 10, 1952 in Winchester, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Eugene and Delphia Francis Prater. He is survived by his sister, Shirley (Willis) Draughn and niece Amanda Nicole Draughn and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He retired from Lowes in Georgetown after more than 20 years. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main Street, Paris, KY.
Alma McKenzie, age 63, a resident of Star Hollow in Leander, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Signature Health and Rehabilitation in Chillicothe, Ohio.
Alma was born March 18, 1953 in Riceville, Kentucky, she is the son of the late Elmer and Roberetta Jesse Cantrell Ratliff. In addition to her parents, husband, Earl McKenzie, son, Wade Douglas McKenzie, sisters, Pamolee Auxier, Carol Perkins, brothers, Herbert Ratliff, Alvin Ratliff, Anthony Ratliff, Robert Ratliff proceed in death.
Mrs. McKenzie was a homemaker and member of the Baptist Faith.
Charles Edward Howard, age 66, of Salyersville, KY passed away on Feb. 22, 2017 at his residence. Charlie was a US Army Veteran and a retired factory worker. He was the son of late Richard Howard and the late Marie Frazier Howard. He is also preceded in death by one son: Christopher Lee Howard.
Miliana Joelle Helton, infant daughter of Tanika Nashae Helton passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky.
In addition to her mother, survivors include her maternal grandparents, Dana and Robbie Kennard, maternal great grandmother, Anita Wells, maternal great-great grandmothers, Gertrude Wilson, and Pauline Caudill, three uncles, Chalmer Jordan Salyer, Charles Grant Helton, and Walter Shane Kennard all of Salyersville, Kentucky, and one aunt, Alyssa Brianne Kennard of Salyersville, Kentucky.
David Ray Collins, age 42, a resident of Cincinnati, Ohio, formally of Salyersville, Kentucky; passed away Monday, February 20, 2017 at Harmony Court Nursing Home in Cincinnati, Ohio.
David was born March 8, 1974 in LaPorte, Indiana the son of the late Ray and Jean Ann Brown Collins.
Renea Minix Bowling age 52 of Lexington, Kentucky formerly of Magoffin County, Kentucky passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born December 23, 1964 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to the late J.B. Minix and Mildred Patrick Minix, who survives. She was the wife of Ron Bowling, who also survives.
Judy Stephens Rudd, age 59, a resident of Salyersville, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017 at the Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, Kentucky.
Judy was born August 29, 1957, in Salyersville, Kentucky the daughter of Chalmer and Maxine Stephens-Stephens. Brothers, Ronald Stephens, Chalmer Jr. Stephens, and sisters, Wanda Stephens and Pam Stephens precede her in death along with her parents.
Judy was a homemaker and devoted member to her family. She enjoyed music and spending time with family and friends.
Deloris Dale Benton Perkins age 78 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at the Saint Claire Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky. She was born June 24, 1938 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Dazzell and Ina Belle Bailey Benton. She was the wife of James Perkins, who survives.
