Marvin Adams, Age 67, a resident of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at the Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia. Marvin was born August 11, 1943 in Magoffin County, Kentucky, the son of the late Claris and Delsie Carter Adams. Survivors include two sisters, Dollie Lee Cole of Prestonsburg, Kentucky and Clara Mae McKenzie of Cynthiana, Kentucky. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, April 10, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Lonnie Cole officiating. Burial followed in the Brushy Fork cemetery.
Aaron C. Salyer, Age 86, a resident of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky.
Aaron C. was born December 4, 1924 in Magoffin County, the son of the late Wiley and Nanie Salyer.
Gerald Cole, age 60, a resident of Jackson, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at his residence. Gerald was born December 30, 1950 in Salyersville, Kentucky the son of the late Silas and Maggie King Cole. Also, preceding him in death are sisters: Mable McDaniel, Brenda Montgomery, May Cole, June Cole; and brothers: Harold, Phillip, Garland, Paul and Burl Cole. Gerald was a graduate of Mayo Technical College in Paintsville, Kentucky. He served is country in the US Army until being honorably discharged. In his passing he leaves his wife: Kathy Prater Cole of Jackson, Kentucky
Pearlie Howard Moore, age 66, a resident of Pelahatchie, MS. passed away April 4, 2011 at the St. Dominic Memorial Hospital in Jackson, MS.
Pearlie was born Augist 25,1943 in Magoffin County, the daughter of the late Dock and Arzelia Howard.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne Moore of Pelahatchie, MS; one daughter, Gina Collinsworth of Pelahatchie, MS and one sister, Judith Ann Saniford of Columbus, Ohio.
Proctor Jr. Owens, age 83 of Lick Creek Road, Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Friday, April 1, 2011 at his home.
Proctor was born March 22, 1928 in Magoffin County, Kentucky, the son of the late Prock and Sarah Salyer Owens. He was a retired State Highway worker.
Sally Mae Keeton, age 43 of LaPorte, Indiana formally of Magoffin County, Ky., passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011 at her residence. Sally was born April 27, 1967 to the Late McKinley Fletcher and Ruby Risner Fletcher in Lima, Ohio.

Brian Keith Howard, Age 38, a resident of Royalton, Kentucky passed away March 28,2011 at the Paul B. Hall Medical Center in Paintsville, Kentucky.
Brian Keith was born December 15,1972 in Paintsville, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Jack Howard and Dorothy Slusher Howard.
Mable Nickles age 82, resident of Salyersville, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the Salyersville Health Care Center in Salyersville, Kentucky. Mable was born February 26, 1929 in Tulsa Oklahoma. She was the daughter of the late Sherman Nickles and Halley Perkins, Also preceding her in death is Floyd Fletcher, and Newt Nickles Sr, and her siblings Tiny Steve Nickles and Roy James Nickles.
Children: Harry James Fletcher, HB Fletcher, Carol Jean Fletcher, Netty Louise Fletcher, Bryan Fletcher, and numerous infants.
U.S. Veteran Franklin D. Arnett age 78 of Salyersville passed away on Friday evening March 25, 2011 at the Huntington Health and Rehabilitation Center in Huntington West Virginia.
Frank was born on December 10, 1932 in Magoffin County, Ky., a son of the late Den Arnett and Lena Patrick Arnett. Frank was united in marriage to Faye Dyer who precedes him in death and to this union were born three children all who survive. One son: Dennis Edward Arnett of Salyersville, two daughters: Evedna Jo Harvey of Salyersville and Ginger Coleman of Salyersville.
