Raiders no match for the Hornets

Last Friday night, our very own Magoffin County Hornets defeated the South Floyd Raiders by a margin of 20 points. The 46-26 win was not only a major confidence boost, but a big relief, as well.

HWMS Hornets look to open regular season gril wth a victory

In the HWMS Hornets’ opening scrimmage of the season the Leslie County Eagles defeated the Hornets with an 8-0 victory. The Hornets host the Eagles this Thursday and look to even the score.

The Leslie County Eagles, having the home field advantage, handed the HWMS Hornets their first loss of the season by a score of 8-0.

Grade school practice underway!

The grade school football program showed some big numbers with their opening practice Tuesday, August 17.

 Any 3rd-6th grade elementary students that wish to participate in Elementary football will have the opportunity to sign up on Thursday (tonight) at 6 pm at the Magoffin County Football Complex.
