LACY CREEK – Two were injured in a serious ATV accident on Lacy Creek Saturday night.
Around 10:30 p.m. on February 21 emergency crews were called to Lacy Creek after the driver of a side-by-side reportedly lost control, dropped off the roadway, overturned and the driver was ejected. Both the driver and a female passenger suffered what was feared to be life-threatening injuries, with multiple efforts made to life flight them both out. Despite setting up a landing zone, but due to various complications, they were transported by ambulance to the Pikeville Medical Center.
Mortimer Media Group has confirmed that their injuries were not life threatening and are both expected to make full recoveries.
