Lula Mae Patton Howard age 100 passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at the Paintsville ARH Hospital in Paintsville, Kentucky. Lula Mae was born September 8, 1925 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late George and Eliza McGuire Patton.
Lula Mae is survived by three sons; Derry (Marlene) Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky, Ricky (Missy) Howard of Leburn, Kentucky and Lawrence Grey Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky, one daughter; Patty Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky, four grandchildren; Anthony Grey Howard, Ashley Jordan Howard, Dylan Thomas Howard and Olivia Derranda Howard, three great-grandchildren; Cheyenne Howard (Alex) Hensley, Colton (Terri) Howard and Pierce Combs and four great-great-grandchildren; Mallory and Nolan Hensley and Paisley and Grayson Howard.
In addition to her parents, Lula Mae is preceded in death by her husband; Richard Dick Howard, one son; Charles E. Howard, one brother; Eldon Patton, three sisters; Edna Smith, Lois Turley and Lucy Arnett, two grandchildren; Christopher Howard and Wesley Ryan Howard and one daughter-in-law; Ruth Howard.
Lula Mae was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services for Lula Mae Patton Howard were conducted Friday, February 27, 2026 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Alex Hensley officiating. Burial followed in the Bal Whitt Cemetery at Royalton, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
