Elwood Gasparac, age 71, a resident of Limestone Branch in Salyersville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky after a lengthy illness.
Elwood was born November 18, 1954 in Salyersville, Kentucky, the son of Milton and Cassie Arnett Gasparac. Sister, Mary Magaleine Gasparac, and brothers, Paul Edward Gasparac, Randall Gasparac also preceded in death.
Elwood was employed in the logging industry until his retirement. He enjoyed coon hunting, the outdoors, eating at BP, and spending time with family and friends.
Those left to mourn includes brothers, James Gasparac of Salyersville, Kentucky, Parker Gasparac of Salyersville, Kentucky, C. B. Gasparac of Salyersville, Kentucky, Ronnie Gasparac of Virginia, sister, Rosie Gasparac of Salyersville, Kentucky, special friend, Brenda Sue Lewis of Hazel Green, Kentucky, dogs, Bell and Dolly, a host of family and friends who love and miss him.
Funeral services for Elwood Gasparac were conducted Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home. Clergy Dallas Patrick delivered comforting words on the day of service. Interment followed in the Watt Patrick Cemetery in Salyersville, Kentucky.
