Joann Perkins Bellar age 65 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, March 14, 2026 at the St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. She was born January 01, 1961 in Oneida, Kentucky to the late Oscar Akers and Mary Nancy Perkins.
Survived by one son, Travis (Rushie) Risner of Flat Gap, Kentucky, two sisters, Diane Perkins (Joe) Turner of Georgia, Shirley (Victor Doderer) Keeton of Paintsville, Kentucky, three grandchildren, Cayden Jack Risner, McKinnley Brooke Risner, Reuben Wayne Risner, three step-grandchildren, Katelynn Risner, Cynthia Risner, Jaimee Risner, two step-great grandchildren, Everlee Perkins, and Silas Webb.
In addition to her parents, Joann is preceded in death by one daughter, Chrystal Dawn Risner, two brothers, Earl Perkins, Melvin Gipson, two sisters, Louise Trusty, and Barbara Back.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, March 18, 2026 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Dwayne Gibson officiating. Burial followed in the Patrick Cemetery at Far Middle Fork, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
