SALYERSVILLE – A Magoffin County grand jury released the following indictments, handed down on September 3 and released in the past week:
Macey Jo May, 25, of Combs Branch Rd. in Salyersville, is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, discharge of firearm (Class C felony). According to the indictment, on or about July 5, 2026, May allegedly discharged a firearm, creating a substantial danger of death or serious physical injury to another person.
Tonya Rowe, 49, of Elk Creek Rd. in Salyersville, is charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense, methamphetamine (Class D felony); and possession of drug paraphernalia (Class A misdemeanor). According to the indictment, on or about July 31, 2026, Rowe allegedly possessed a quantity of methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia.
John R. Montgomery, 46, of West Puncheon Fork, Salyersville, is charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense, greater than or equal to 2 grams of methamphetamine (Class C felony); first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense, less than or equal to 10 dosage units for a drug unspecified, opiates (Class C felony); possession of drug paraphernalia (Class A misdemeanor); possession of marijuana (Class B misdemeanor); first-degree persistent felony offender (penalty enhancement). According to the indictment, on or about May 4, 2026, Montgomery allegedly possessed with the intent to manufacture, distribute or sell quantities of methamphetamine and hydrocodone (a Schedule II narcotic). He is also accused of possessing drug paraphernalia and a quantity of marijuana. At the time of the above offenses, Montgomery had been convicted of a felony in the last five years and two in his lifetime.
Corrina J. Ratliff, 46, of West Puncheon Fork, Salyersville, is charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense, greater than or equal to 2 grams of methamphetamine (Class C felony); first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense, less than or equal to 10 dosage units for a drug unspecified, opiates (Class C felony); and possession of drug paraphernalia (Class A misdemeanor). According to the indictment, on or about May 4, 2026, Ratliff allegedly possessed with the intent to manufacture, distribute or sell quantities of methamphetamine and hydrocodone (a Schedule II narcotic), as well as possessed drug paraphernalia.
Warrants were issued on each of the defendants indicted.
Grand jury indictments with issued arrest warrants are released only after the defendant has been served with that arrest.
