Fred R. “Joe” Keeton age 85 a resident of New Mexico, formerly of Salyersville, Kentucky; passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at his home.
Joe was born October 29, 1936 in Salyersville, Kentucky the son of the late John C. and Gracie Walters Keeton. Wife, Buritta McCarty Keeton, brothers, Hubert C. Keeton, sister Glaspaie Norman, step-son, Larry Howington also preceded him in death.
Joe was a painter until his retirement. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1954 until 1959.
Those left to mourn includes wife, Neva Louise Keeton of New Mexico, daughters, Freda Stephens of Salyersville, Kentucky, Felicia Ross of Ashland, Kentucky, sons, Ricky Clay Keeton of Eure, North Carolina, Charles David Keeton of Salyersville, Kentucky, Joseph “Joe” Keeton of Dayton, Ohio, step sons, Jeff Howington and Neal Howington, a host of family and friends who love and miss him.
Funeral services for Fred R. “Joe” Keeton are incomplete and will be announced later by the Salyersville Funeral Home.
