Kennie “Danny” Barker age 76 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024 at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky. He was born August 22, 1948 in Willard, Ohio to the late Forest Barker and Mary Francis Whitaker.
Survived by two daughters, Christal Shawn Ann Hall of Salyersville, Kentucky, Julie Irene (Flipp) Risner of Salyersville, Kentucky, two brothers, Bobby (Sherry) Baker, Calvin (Patty) Barker both of Indiana, one sister, Priscilla (Steve) Clark of Leslie, Michigan, one sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Barker of Illinois, five grandchildren, Ivanna (Jacob) Chiow, Julianna (Daniel) Woods, Jaiden Risner, Haylee Risner, Chance Risner, two great grandchildren, Laiden Chiow, and Lillian Chiow.
In addition to his parents, Kennie is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Louise Cantrell Barker, one son, Kennie O’Dale Barker, one son-in-law, William Hall, three brothers, Clifton Barker, Chalmer Barker, Duane Barker, two sisters, Alice Faye Minix, and Joyce Mosher.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date by the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
