Anthony Ollen “Tater” Bain age 51 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky. He was born March 01, 1974 in Livonia, Michigan to the late Franklin Bain and Joyce Collett Prater who survives.
Survived by his mother, Joyce Collett Prater, one son, Khauner (Leah Smith) Bain of Salyersville, Kentucky, two daughters, Karringtyn (Austin) Jarvis of Inez, Kentucky, Keyairra NaShae (Branden) Barber of Winchester, Kentucky, two brothers, Randall Bain, Franklin (Melissa) Bain both of Salyersville, Kentucky, two sisters, Stephanie Bain (Larry) Blanton of Oil Springs, Kentucky, Connie Bain of Flatgap, Kentucky, three grandchildren, Wrenley Jarvis, Winston Jarvis, Branden Barber II, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Anthony “Tater” was a union labor by trade and oil and gas well digger, also a foreman for the Richard Goettle Corporation.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, July 27, 2025 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Paul Hiner officiating. Burial followed in the Blanton and Bain Cemetery at Oil Springs, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
