Archie Cantrell age 75 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at the Park View Nursing Facility in Pikeville, Kentucky. He was born in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Mitchell and Maxie Colvin Cantrell.
Survived by his wife, Sarah Jane Slone Cantrell, one son, Archie Jay (Karen) Cantrell of Salyersville, Kentucky, two daughters, Teresa Lynn Cantrell (Poe) Stapleton, Lisa Carol Cantrell (David) Willis of Grayson, Kentucky, one daughter-in-law, Sylvia Cantrell of Salyersville, Kentucky, one brother, Ira (Ruie) Cantrell of Salyersville, Kentucky, one sister, Dora Mae Cantrell of Chillicothe, Ohio, eight grandchildren, Dorrisa Stapleton, Bobbie Jay Cantrell, Sarah Ann Cantrell, Jessica Ramona Cantrell, Alyssa Willis, Jayden Willis, Stan Risner, Katrina Redemsky, four great grandchildren, Madison Paige Jenkins, Braylen Matthew Fairchild, Braxton Hunter Jenkins, and Preston Logan.
In addition to his parents, Archie is preceded in death by two sons, Donald Ray Cantrell, Glenn Phillip Cantrell, one granddaughter, Vanessa Jane Stapleton, four brothers, Otis Cantrell, Francis Cantrell, Herman Cantrell, and Dolphia Cantrell.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, December 18, 2022 from the Head of Coon Creek Church with Lonnie B. Wright and Hershel Wright officiating. Burial followed in the Brown Fork Cemetery at Lacey Creek, Kentucky.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
