Avanell Allen Marshall, age 95, a resident of Burning Fork in Salyersville, Kentucky; passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2020 in the loving care of Prestonsburg Health Care in Prestonsburg, Kentucky.
Avanell was born October 22, 1925 in Salyersville, Kentucky the daughter of the late Sammy and Millie Frazier Allen. Husband, Adam Marshall, son, Earl Dallas Marshall, brother, Elmo Allen, Sister, Ellaree Adkins, grandchildren, Brandon Marshall, Scottie Prater all preceded her in death.
Avanell was an adventurist who was always up for anything. Especially, when it involved her family, friends, and church. She was known for her beautiful quilts she often gave for gifts of love and gratitude.
Those left to mourn include sons, Guy Neal Marshall and wife Sandra of Okeechobee, Florida, Adam Dewayne Marshall and wife Ruth Anne of Salyersville, Kentucky, daughter, Sandra Lynn Marshall Prater and husband Jackie of Salyersville, Kentucky, Barbara Ann Broome and husband Richard of Dearborn, Michigan, nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, a host of family and friends who love and miss her.
A private service was conducted Saturday, December 5, 2020 from the Marshall Family Cemetery on Burning Fork Road in Salyersville, Kentucky. Interment followed in the cemetery grounds. This is in compliance with the executive order of the Governor of Kentucky.
The family appreciates all thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. They would like to express the extreme gratitude to the workers of Prestonsburg Health Care in Prestonsburg, Kentucky for the courtesy, love, and compassion given to their loved one.
