Betty Jo Helton Jenkins age 88 of Pricey Creek, in Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, September 19, 2024 at the Paintsville ARH Hospital in Paintsville, Kentucky. She was born March 16, 1936 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Sherman and Cassie Mae Hartsock Helton.
Survived by one son, Randall Ray (Debbie) Jenkins of Salyersville, Kentucky, one daughter, Josephine Morgan of Salyersville, Kentucky, one son-in-law, Eddie Francis of Salyersville, Kentucky, one brother, Billy Gene Helton of Salyersville, Kentucky, one sister, Elve (Raleigh) Jenkins of West Liberty, Kentucky, one brother-in-law, Bill Stapleton of Fairborn, Ohio, seven grandchildren, Tina (Gary) Fitzpatrick, Amy (Chuck) Music, Brandon (Leann) Jenkins, Kristie (Matt) Williams, Becky Jenkins, Josh (Michelle) Francis, Courtney Jenkins, five great grandchildren, Kelsey Fitzpatrick, Isaiah Stephens, Hannah Jenkins, Zoey Bailey, and Matthew Bailey.
In addition to her parents, Betty Jo is preceded in death by her husband Garland Jenkins, one son, Rocky Jenkins, one daughter, Deloris Francis, two brothers, Raney “Bud” Helton, Hassell Helton, three sisters, Joyce Stapleton, Ina Nell Lyon, Virgie Francis, one granddaughter, Brandy Francis, and one great- grandson, Gavin Music.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, September 22, 2024 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Rick Howard officiating. Burial followed in the Goble Jenkins Cemetery at Pricey Creek, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
