Betty Rose Howard Russell age 85 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky. She was born March 05, 1938 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Cordis and Mable Baker Howard.
Survivors include one son, Jerry Ray (Kimberly) Russell of Salyersville, Kentucky, one daughter, Donna Jean (Ronald) Francis of Salyersville, Kentucky, one daughter-in-law, Maria Shamona Lemaster Russell of Salyersville, Kentucky, two sisters, Lillie Bell Lyon of Ohio, Jewel Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky, five grandchildren, Crystal King, Will Bingham, Tari Russell, Wendell Chase Russell, Jeremy Russell, seven great grandchildren, Matthew King, Ella Rose King, Railynn Daniel, Brison Russell, Owen Russell, Lucas Jaiden Russell, and Grey Russell.
In addition to her parents, Betty Rose is preceded in death by her husband, Don Wendell Russell, two sons, Paul Wendell Russell, Adrian Russell, one grandson, Brian Russell, three brothers, James “Blackie” Howard, Fred Arnold Howard, Benjamin “Bear” Howard, and one sister, Ruth Ellen Jenkins.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, December 30, 2023 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Allison Howard officiating. Burial followed in the Ben Howard Cemetery at Helton Branch, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
