Billy Joe Reed age 69 of Paintsville, Kentucky formerly Salyersville, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at the Prestonsburg Health Care Center in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. He was born September 03, 1954 in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late John and Oma Caudill Reed.
Survived by his companion, June Carr, one son, Timmy Reed of Robbins, North Carolina, and one sister, Linda (Paul) Bussey of Salyersville, Kentucky.
In addition to his parents, Billy Joe is preceded in death by one son, Michael Hussey, two brothers, Paul Reed, Jim Reed, and one sister, Phyllis Reed.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, January 22, 2024 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Haney officiating. Burial followed in the Bluegrass Cemetery at Salyersville, Kentucky.
Military rites were given by the Salyersville D.A.V. Chapter 15 the day of the funeral service.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
