Billy Joe Rowe, Sr., age 92 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025 at the Norton Hospital, Louisville, Kentucky. Billy Joe, Sr., was born March 08, 1933 in Royalton, Kentucky to the late Bryan and Mollie Howard Rowe.
Survived by his wife, Barbara Jean Tydings Rowe, two sons, John Fitzgerald (Tabitha) Rowe of Carlin, Nevada, Billy Joe (Michelle) Rowe, Jr., of Charlotte, North Caroline, three daughters, Bridget Ann Rowe of Denver, Colorado, Melissa Louise (Kelly) Barnett of Salyersville, Kentucky, Rebecca Jean (Eric) Craft of Salyersville, Kentucky, two brothers, Lloyd Rowe of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Michael Rowe of St. Cloud, Florida, fifteen grandchildren, Christine Ann Plante, Jeremy James Beins, Lara Ann Rowe, Barrie Louise Rosensiel, Michael Arthur Eklund, Katelynn Leana Roloson, Dalton Ray Barnett, Kaleb Teyton Barnett, Chastin Joe Barnett, Brinley Brooklyn Barnett, Logan Charles Rowe, Grace Clementine Rowe, Breanna Elizabeth Craft, Noah Max Gregory Craft, Levi Xavier Craft, several great grandchildren, special nephew, David Salyer, and special fur baby, Scooter.
In addition to his parents, Billy Joe is preceded in death by one son, Robert Edward Rowe, and one sister, Barbara Lou Salyer.
Billy Joe served and retired from the United States Air Force.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 A.M. Friday, March 21, 2025 from the Licking River Baptist Church with James Maynard officiating. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East at Grayson, Kentucky. Friends may visit the church Wednesday, March, 19, 2025 from 6:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M., Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 6:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. and any time prior to funeral services on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, family has requested donations in the memory of Billy Joe Rowe, Sr., to the St. Jude Children Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Pace, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
