From H.B. Elkins
KYTC, Dist. 10
JACKSON, Ky. – Drivers who use KY 114 (East Mountain Parkway) in Magoffin County should prepare for a brief road closure on Sunday morning, Aug. 18.
In order to allow for work to be done on an overhead power line, a road closure will be in effect between 7 and 9 a.m. at milepoint 0.859, near Trojan Powder Road.
Closures no longer than 15 minutes will be in effect during these hours.
This will affect traffic between Salyersville and Prestonsburg.
Passenger vehicle drivers may wish to detour on KY 1888 (Burning Fork Road) to avoid the closure. If commercial vehicle operators wish to detour, they should use US 460 and US 23 via Paintsville.
Approximately 5,400 vehicles use this portion of KY 114 each day.
