Christopher Colin Lykins

Christopher Colin Lykins, age 54, a resident of Short Fork in Salyersville, Kentucky; passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia.

Born April 30, 1970, in West Liberty, Kentucky, he is the son of the late Carl and Palestine Prater Lykins. Maternal Grandparents, Theodore Roosevelt and Edna Marie Prater, and Paternal Grandparents, Allison and Nokie McCarty Lykins also preceded in death.

Christopher was employed as a mechanic until his retirement. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing, being outdoors with family and friends, being a jokester every opportunity he had and enjoyed watching his Westerns.

Those left to mourn includes daughter, Brooklin Francis and husband Devin of Salyersville, Kentucky, brothers, Carlos Lykins an wife Angela Shea of Coxs Creek, Kentucky, Cary Lykins and wife Tina of Salyersville, Kentucky, special friend, Tabitha Shepherd of Salyersville, Kentucky, grandchildren, Raina Francis, one unborn on the way, niece, Amy Slone and husband Wesley, nephews, Zachary Lykins, Austin Lykins, a host of family and friends who love and miss him.

Funeral services for Christopher Colin Lykns will be conducted Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 1:00 PM from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home. Clergy Robert May will deliver comforting words on the day of service. Interment will follow in the Prater Family Cemetery on Short Fork in Salyersville, Kentucky. The family will welcome friends Friday, May 17, after 6:00 PM and anytime prior to funeral services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests gifts to a memorial fund here at the funeral home.
