David Allen, age 78, a resident of Johnson Fork Road in Salyersville, Kentucky; passed away Monday, October 28, 2024 at Morgan County ARH Hospital in West Liberty, Kentucky.
David was born February 24, 1946 in Salyersville, Kentucky the son of the late Willard and Carrie Burton Allen. David is also proceeded in death by his sister Louise Collett .
David worked for the State Highway Department and was a member of the Bear Branch Primitive Baptist Church.
Those left to mourn include his wife, Mildred Burton Allen of Salyersville, Kentucky, daughter, Ada Faye Bryant and husband Dennis Keith Ashaw of Lebanon, Kentucky, granddaughter, Allie Bryant and husband John Gonzalez of Lebanon, Kentucky, two great grandchildren, Jessica and Weston, and a host of family and friends who love and miss him.
Funeral services for David Allen will be conducted Friday, November 1, 2024 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home in Salyersville, Kentucky. Pastor Ricky Holbrook and Doyle Keeton will deliver comforting words on the day of service. Interment will follow in the Burton Cemetery on the left hand fork of Johnson in Salyersville, Kentucky. The family will welcome friends Thursday, October 31, after 6:00 PM, and anytime prior to funeral services.
