Dollie M. Carty Arnett age 83 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025 at the Paintsville ARH in Paintsville, Kentucky. She was born December 17, 1941 at Royalton, Kentucky to the late Will and Mollie Howard Carty.
Dollie is survived by one son, Randolph Arnett Jr. of Salyersville, Kentucky; one sister, Theda Salyer (Bill) of Salyersville, Kentucky; and one brother, Shannon Carty (Marcia) of Salyersville, Kentucky. She also leaves behind a host of family and friends who loved her dearly.
Dollie was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Mollie Carty, her husband, Randolph Arnett; and two brothers DM Carty and RC Carty.
Dollie was a member of the Samaria Regular Primitive Church of the Burning Springs Association.
Dollie was very social. She loved meeting new people and making friends. She enjoyed being on the go and staying active. During her younger days, her job at Martin’s Department store was perfect for her personality. It allowed her to meet and socialize with many different people. She enjoyed that time of her life and spoke of it often. Dollie loved animals, and usually had a least one or two dogs to keep her and Randy company.
Dollie was a devoted mother. Her son, Randy, was the most important person in her life. She cared for him daily and made sure he had everything he needed. She loved him dearly.
Dollie will be missed by all those who knew her. The world is a better place because she was here; and those left behind will be forever grateful for her presence.
Funeral services for Dollie Arnett will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2025 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Arnett Cemetery at Johnson Fork, Kentucky. Officiating will be Doyle Keeton, Lowell Keeton and Rick Holbrook. Family and friends may visit the funeral home prior to services.
