Earl Baxter Puckett age 75 of Salyersville, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky. He was born February 26, 1950 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late James “Jim” and Maxie Cook Puckett.
Survived by his wife of fifty years Mary Puckett, four sisters: Dorothy Conley, Francis Puckett, Shirley Brown, Cathy (Jimmy) Lain; four brothers: Lester (Bonnie) Puckett, James (Patricia) Puckett, Phillip (Jacqueline) Puckett, Johnny Puckett with a host of family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Earl is preceded in death by six brothers: George Puckett, Don Puckett, Charles Puckett. Price Puckett, Ronald Puckett, Leonard Puckett, and three sisters: Margaret Puckett Workman, Genevieve Puckett, and Mignon Puckett.
Earl was a devoted member of the Salyersville International Church of Christ for many years. He was a retiree of Continental Conveyor. He loved carpenter, making beautiful wood works.
Funeral services will be conduced at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 20, 2025 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Phillip Puckett and Cherokee Gipson officiating. Friends may visit the funeral home Friday, September 19, 2025 from 6:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. and any time prior to funeral services.
In lieu of flowers, family has requested contributions made to the Salyersville International Pentecostal Church of Christ, at P.O. Box 255, Salyersville, Kentucky 41465.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
